Quick start
Each page here does one task from start to finish. Do them in order the first time: each one takes a few minutes, and together they take less than half an hour. The pages tell you what to click. The User manual explains the rules behind each task.
The tasks
| Page | What you do |
|---|---|
| First run | Install Input.Observer, start it, find its tray icon and open the configuration window. |
| Draw your first gesture | Draw a gesture from the starter set and see what the trail and the hint show. |
| Make a gesture do something | Create an action that a gesture runs, apply it, and try it. |
| An action for one program | Make an action that works in one program only. |
| Keep a program out | Stop Input.Observer from reacting inside a program, such as a game. |
| Run an action from the keyboard | Give an existing action a hotkey. |
| Type less with text expansion | Type a short code and get longer text. |
| Pause, bypass and exit | Turn Input.Observer off for a while, skip it for one click, stop a runaway action, or close it. |
