Whirlwind

Start: A funnel cloud touches down at the cursor under a dark wall cloud, a ring of dust kicking up round its foot.
Draw: The funnel follows the cursor, leaning back and bending as it travels, its layered bands turning fastest near the ground; it scuffs a dusty track, swirls dust off the ground and lifts cartoon debris -- leaves, twigs, a few shingles and fence slats -- spiralling up it and flinging it off the top, while lightning flickers now and then in the cloud.
Release: It ropes out into a thin, snaking strand and dissipates as the cloud fades; the debris flutters down and a last ring of dust settles.
