- A monitor's write point lights at the cursor beside a small heart that starts to beat.

- A glowing ECG trace is written along the path -- P wave, sharp QRS spike, T wave -- fading back like a monitor's phosphor, with teal, white and mint plus-sign sparkles drifting up.

- The trace writes one strong beat, a heart blooms from its peak and beats twice inside a widening ring, and plus signs scatter round it.
