- A CRT powers on: a bright horizontal line flashes open at the cursor beside a >_ prompt.
- Draw
- The beam draws a green phosphor line in scanline bands on dark glass that decays from bright to dim, hex digits and code symbols are typed into a character grid beside it, and a block cursor rides the head.
- Release
- The CRT switches off: everything collapses to a bright horizontal line, then a dot that fades.
